Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

it has no fear of the latest technology after buying its first Euro-6 truck, a Scania G445 tractor unit.

Gary Ford, MD of the Birmingham-based operator, said the addition of the Euro-6 truck will give RGF Logistics the chance to compare it like-for-like with existing Euro-5 vehicles.

"We operate 420/440 Euro-5 Scania trucks and wanted to compare against the new Euro-6 model. RGF Logistics is happy to be a leading light in the road transport industry and has no fear of the latest technology and its benefits to future generations," he said.

The G445 6x2 Highline will work out of the operator's depot in Garrett's Green and be one of more than 60 vehicles in the fleet. RGF bought the truck from local Scania dealer Keltruck.

Last year, CM roadtested the first Euro-6 truck in the UK, a Scania G440 4x2 tractor unit with a Highline cab (9 May 2012). It produced class-leading fuel returns at 40 tonnes, achieving 9.2mpg with 2.7% AdBlue use, which goes some way to countering a price hike to cover the advanced technology and a nominal kerb weight increase.

Euro-6 emission levels become mandatory on new trucks from 1 January 2014.
