visited Skills for Logistics' (SfL) Skills Calculator website in the past two months and a number of careers and apprenticeships initiatives have shown support for the scheme.
The free-to-use Skills Calculator, launched by SfL in March, allows jobseekers and employers to calculate the financial benefits of investing in workplace skills in the logistics industry.
Among others, the initiative has received support from institutions such as Logistics Guild, Delivering Your Future, Fetch!, Mercia College, Apprentice Supermarket and Inspire Education. Steven Edson, MD at ITS Training, said: "Being a further education provider that specialises in international trade, we appreciate how diverse the logistics industry is. It is crucial that employers, employees and potential recruits to the industry can find clear and specific information about their particular industry area."
Employers get an insight into the return they can expect from hiring an apprentice or training a member of staff, while individuals can calculate the annual salary they should expect in more than 150 roles based on their job function.
