WHEN John Findlay and Co. (Conn' tractors), Ltd., Lochee, applied to operate a vehicle within a six-mile radius of Dundee, it was stated that the vehicle was needed to replace the company's last horsed vehicle, and that the new vehicle would be able to cope With an amount of business in addition to the existing trade.
Various companies in the city had• sent along letters of support, but there were no witnesses in court. The Scottish Deputy Licensing Authority dismissed the application.
