A MONG the exhibitors of miscelrilaneous components of interest to readers of "The Commercial Motor," the first in alphabetical order is Thomas Ash and Co., Ltd., 10-14, Berkeley Street, Birmingham, I (Stand 306M). This company will show vehicle ventilators, including the combined inlet and extractor type, which is suitable for application to drivers' cabs, horseboxes, coaches, vehicles for carrying food, etc.
A representative of the British Wagon Co., Ltd., Rotherham House, London, S.W.1, will be on Stand 242G to advise on hire-purchase schemes.
Steel wheel conversions for International, Fordson Major and Standard Ferguson tractors will be seen, with a wide variety of solid rubber, sorbo and pneumatic tyres, on Stand 144D of J. W. and T. Connolly, Ltd., Stanhope Street, London, N.W.I. Axles and castors will also be shown.
A varied range of covers, tubes and wheels for farm vehicles, including tractors, trailers and gang mowers, will be seen on Stand 214E of the Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., Fort Dunlop, Birmingham, 24. Wide-base tractor tyres will be specially featured by the Firestone Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., Brentford, Middx, on Stand 201E. The curved-bar type, already fitted to new tractors, is to be exhibited for the first time.
Having an open-centre tread designed to clean itself as it turns, the Sure-Grip tractor tyre will be exhibited by Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co. (Gt. Britain), Ltd., Wolverhampton, on Stand 234E. It is built to afford maximum traction under all conditions of weather and soil. A full range of implement, land and barrow tyres wi:1 also be available for inspection, and practical demonstrations will be given of the 'Solution 100" liquid ballasting of tyres to increase traction and drawbar pull. Entered for the silver medal. the India Super Grip tractor tyre was introduced nearly two years ago ana has a tread consisting of bars curved outwards after the style of a ploughshare. These bars are designed to fling
the earth clear of the tread This sturdy tyre, and others for carts, trailers and various farm implements, will be on view on Stand 96B (India Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., 30, St. John's Wood Road, London, N W.8).
Efficiency in lubrication will be the theme of the display by Tecalemit, Ltd., Rrentford, Middx (Stand 255F). High-pressure pumps for all kinds of lubricant, as well as hand guns and other lubrication accessories, will be on view.
Efficient filtration is particularly important in agricultural tractors and machinery, .and for this reason Stand 396F of C. G. Yokes, Ltd., Guildford, is well worthy of a visit. The company will show a complete range of filters for air, oil and fuel.
