to make 48 staff redundant, says managing director Thomas Knowles. Thirty one fulltime staff, 15 on short-term contracts, and two temporary employees will leave the company in early October when "a major package of service changes" is introduced, including the closure of LCT's Kendal depot and the withdrawal of most of its long-distance services.
