Councillor Jack Meredith hte been elected chairman of the Public Transport Committee ot the Association of Metropolitan Authorities, replacing Councillor Michael Simmons.
A member of the Doncaster Metropolitan District Council since 1974, Meredith has been vice-chairman of the Public Transport Committee since 1985.
