• The new range of Murex Saffire gas welding and cutting outfits consists of six purposedesigned kits tailored for particular market sectors from heavy-duty industrial cutting to micro welding. All meet the requirements of BS6503 and are made under the BS5750 quality management system.

Smallest, the Model 0 Microset, is an injector blowpipe suited to fine welding and brazing.

The Saffire DH outfit is designed for hte craftsman welder. It has redesigned control knobs and chrome protection throughout. The basic outfit is supplied with precision swaged nozzles, but the DH tips kit converts the outfit for pipe welding.

Favoured in the automobile repair, says Murex, the updated Saffire FN Autoset has the additional benefit of a muftijet heating neck. Standard welding capacity is 5mm and cutting capacity is 20nun. And the Saffire welding ability to weld up to 8mm steel and to cut 75mm and is claimed to be widely used by fabricators and in heavy-duty maintenance. The new model has a high per forrnance multi-flame heating head fitted as standard.
