Safeway Foodstores has awarded EL's Temperature Controlled Services division a five-year 24.5 million contract to distribute frozen goods throughout the South East and South West. The contract will be run from EL's Elstree, Herts distribution centre which will be "almost 100% dedicated to Safeway business", says the company.

Retailer Argos has signed a 25 million deal with EL's Consumer and Industrial division to operate its West Country distribution centre. The NFC company will run a fleet of 21 Mercedes-Benz 1617s from the Bridgwater warehouse.
