vuE regret to record the deaths of PP Mr. Robert E. Alexander, Mr. C. G. Armstrong and Mr. Edward Boydell.

Mr. Alexander, who was 50 years of age, was a son of the late Mr. Walter Alexander, founder of W. Alexander and Sons, •Ltd. He was associated with his father in the business up to the last war. After war service he became a director of the coachbuilding company of Walter Alexander and Co. (Coachbnilders), Ltd., and played a prominent part in directing the growth of this part of the business.

Mr. Armstrong. who died after a sudden illness, was general manager of the tyre group of Brown Brothers, Ltd.

Mr. Boydell, who was 66, was a pioneer in the development of earthmoving equipment and was founder and chairman of E. Boydell and Co., Ltd.. manufacturers of Muir-Hill dumpers and loaders.
