The Honda ED 250 generator produces direct current only, and power is supplied by a 55.4 cc petrol engine, a four-stroke single cylinder side valve unit air-cooled by means of a blower. The fuel tank has a capacity of 3.52 pints and fuel consumption is said to be 0.62 pints an hour at 3,000 r.p.m. Output is 24v by 250w 10 amp d.c., or 12v by 220w 18.3 amp d.c.

weight, quiet running and freedom of smoke and oil from the exhaust. Weight of the generator is only 39.25 lb.

The two self-priming water pumps, Honda W20 and W30, are both powered by the 030 stationary engine, and the engine and pump are incorporated into a four-wheel trolley. The 030 is a fourstroke, single-cylinder side-valve unit which develops 3.5 b.h.p. at 3,400 r.p.m. It has a 6.3 to 1 compression ratio, wet sump lubrication and weighs only 36.4 lb. Maximum capacity of the W20 is 8,400 gal. an hour and maximum total head 70 ft. Suction port and discharge outlet are both 2 in. in diameter. The W30 has an 11,100 gal. an hour throughput and a maximum total head of 80 ft. Suction and discharge outlet on this model are both 3 in. in diameter.
