Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Regent Oil Co. Ltd. was called before the Metropolitan Licensing Authority this week under Section 178 of the Act. This resulted from a countrywide examination of the company's fleet by Ministry of Transport vehicle examiners.

Regent operates 546 vehicles in the United Kingdom and 137 were found to be defective. The examiners imposed 36 immediate and 101 delayed prohibitions. At the inquiry Mr. Edgar Fay QC represented the company. At the time of going to press the inquiry was still in progress. A full report will appear in next week's issue of COMMERCIAL MOTOR.
