Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A.THOUGH Scania-Vabis did not exhibit any recently changed or recently introduced models at the Brussels Show last week the Swedish company staged a demonstration illustrating safety features of their vehicles on the opening day.

The value of having four separate means of applying brakes on a vehicle were demonstrated with a Scania-Vabis L76 four-wheeler with which brake stops were made first with the full system and then with simulated failures to each of the parts in turn.

But the most spectacular demonstration

Brussels but on the opening day demonstrated tyre blows out.

showed the benefit of power steering in enabling the driver to keep control of his vehicle following the bursting of a front tyre.

The same vehicle was used and driven at about 30 m.p.h. over a knife-edge set in the ground.

The vehicle was positioned so that the lefthand-side front wheel went over the knife, causing the tyre to burst immediately.

Although the burst caused the wheels to tend to pull the vehicle round the driver was able to control the steering.
