FOLLOWING the decision of the Kent County Council road safety officer not to continue organizing a Maidstone eliminating centre of the Lorry Driver of the Year Competition, doubts have arisen about continuance this year of the round.
The national executive committee is negotiating the holding of an eliminating round elsewhere in Kent this year. Operators wishing to enter the competition and who have previously supported Maidstone round should contact the Hon. Organizing Secretary, Lorry Driver of the Year Competition, 40 Bowling Green Lane, London EC', for advice.
