MR. A. W. WOOLDRIDGE has been appointed deputy general sales manager of the Esso Petroleum Co., Ltd. He joined the company in 1923.
MR. K. C. WOODHEAD has been appointed technical service manager of the fuel oil department at the head office of Fina Petroleum Products, Ltd.
Ma. L. S. W()ODALL DOW covers Montgomery, Shropshire and part of Staffordshire as tyre salesman of the North British Rubber Co., Ltd., as well as four other counties.
Ma. S. M. F. ALLFREY has been appointed administrative manager of the tyre sales division of the Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., taking over the duties of MR. ALFRED Rose, operating manager, who has retired after nearly 49 years' service.
MR. S. 3, Vos, chairman of Trinidad Leaseholds-Regent Oil Group, left Britain on Wednesday for important talks in the United States. He will also visit Trinidad, where discussions will take place on the latest refinery developments to expand capacity and improve the quality of Trinidad Leaseholds products.
MR. H. MkRSTON, controller of purchase and supply, Guy Motors, Ltd., and MR. A. H. MASON, buyer, are to retire. Mr. Marston has been with the company for 16 years and Mr. Mason for over 37. Their two posts will be combined and MR. A. H. CADWALLADER, who has given 31 years' service, will become buyer and material controller.
MR. J. A. MIDDLETON-JOY, of Edward Joy and Sons, Ltd., has been elected president of the newly formed Motor Accessories Manufacturers Association. The council comprises DR. A. C. PEPPER, of Alexander Duckharn and Co., Ltd., MR. J. A. V. WATSON, of C. C. Wakefield and Co.; Ltd„ and MR. C. E. R. MILLIDGE, of J. B. Pillin and Co., Ltd. MR. B. R. DAVIES is secretary.

MR. P. S. WALKINS, formerly librarian of British Overseas Airways Corporation, has been appointed librarian and information officer of the Owen Organization.
MR. M. STAFFORD has become managing director of Thornton's (Rhodesia), Ltd. He returned to Africa last week after ordering 12 Leyland Super Hippos and six Leyland Octopuses.
MR. E. H. R. Sctirorm. has become general sales manager of J. W. and T. Connolly, Ltd. MR. C. S. PEARSON has succeeded • him as sales manager, national contracts division, Avon India Rubber Co., Ltd.
MR. WALTER WEST has been appointed deputy managing director of Leyland Motors, Ltd. Formerly assistant managing director, he has been on the board since 1946 and managing director of West Yorkshire Foundries, Ltd., a Leyland subsidiary. In 1950 he became joint general manager with MR. STANLEY MARKLAND, and in 1953 assistant managing director. '
MR. H. HinsT, organizer of the South Yorkshire Division of the Traders' Road Transport Association, has been appointed secretary-organizer of the Yorkshire (West Riding) Division. Since MR. K. H. HELM relinquished the secretaryship of the Yorkshire (West Riding) Division, his duties had been additionally assumed by MR. P. MELVILLE, secretary of the South Yorkshire Division.
MR. L W. WOMAR Win retire from the headquarters executive of the British Electric Traction Co., Ltd., about July 31, after 48 years' association with the company. As part of the arrangements to fill the vacancies which will arise as a result of Mr. Womar's retirement from the boards of associated companies, MR. R. J. ELLERY will relinquish the post of secretary of the parent company with a view to his appointment to a number of the boards.
