There is a very impatient manager in the haulage industry whose cure-all for the slightest error or late running is to dismiss the driver. After the foreman had lost some of his best men in this manner, he adopted his own remedy. Going up to the latest culprit he said "Brown, you're sacked, here's a week's money and your name is Jones on the next pay list."
