Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Commercial Motor's campaign to force the government to return the £2m of stowaway fines has made a breakthrough this week in conjunction with law firm Rothera Dowson.

Solicitor Jane George says that it has received enough financial support from outraged hauliers to allow Timothy Nesbitt, a barrister specialising in transport law, to look at the case and see if it has

any chance of success in the European Court of Human Rights at Strasbourg.

George says that they will know within two or three weeks whether they can proceed with the case.

CM strongly supports the action and contributed £300 to the 'fighting fund' in order to see justice for the industry.
