Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Hope Anti-Jack-1We device Developed in the mid-1960s, this device with its keyed kingpin was mounted in a semi-trailer's rubbing plate.

Inside, a series of frictional discs reacted according to brake pedal air pressure, effectively retarding the kingpin's turning movement and arresting the initialjack-knife effect.

Between 1964 and 2001, Hope Technical made over 100,000 such units for UK and export sales. Many are still in service. However, the device has mostly been replaced by electronic stability technology.

• Hope Scrutineer First introduced in the early 70s, this is a valuable tool that enables a vehicle and trailer's braking and electrical systems to be checked for faults and functionality.

Hope Technical operates a calibration scheme for maintaining a customer's Scrutineer to Quality System standards. The Scrutineer has recently been upgraded so it can be used to check the wiring integrity of EBS CAN bus lines. • Sefe-T-Bar

Initially designed as a protective energy-absorbing rear bumper for large trucks and trailers, the Safe-T-Bar has been further developed for smaller vehicles, including panel vans.

Variations on the basic bumper bar include the addition of variable-height tow bars, reversing sensors (Sens-NStop) and a utility safety step.
