• Southern tippermen working for RMC subsidiary Hall Aggregates face a rates cut with Hall claiming "the recession has finally caught up".
A letter to sub-contracted hauliers from the Winchesterbased firm encloses a new rate card, including cuts introduced from 22 March. The letter says: "Unfortunately the prolonging of the recession has finally caught up with us ... we have had to reduce the rates."
Hall has written to its customers announcing it is increasing its collection and delivery charges.
