Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Arc welders for use in garages and maintenance workshops have been introduced by Black and Decker. Three models are included in the range: the A W100, with four stepped settings between 50 and 100 amps, the AW150 with 10 stepped settings between 30 and 150 amps and the F400 which is infinitely variable from 45 to 140 amps.

The F400 will weld in a single pass up to 5" 16in steel plate and will weld heavier sections in multiple runs. It has a four-position on! off switch and is enclosed in a stainless steel housing with corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminium end panels. Two integral carrying handles are provided for easy manoeuvring.

All the units are aircooled and incorporate a thermal overload cutout. The cut-out automatically resets when the unit returnsto its normal operating temperature.

Made by: Black & Decker Industrial, Cannon Lane, Maidenhead, Berks.
