international coach rally on the Cote d'Azur in the light of present economic problems have now been dispelled with the announcement that next year the event will take place at Monaco from April 15 to 19. At the same time an assurance was given by the organizers that the two-year cycle will be retained with Nice as the 1977 venue.
A revision of the rally regulations will ensure that test conditions — particularly those concerning noise and exhaust emission — will more closely resemble normal operating practice while the entry rules have also been rewritten. To give visitors travelling in participating vehicles a more varied programme the Monaco Tourist Bureau is planning specially arranged trips for coach parties and other events to coincide with Rally week.
The organizing committee — Association pour le developpement et le perfectionement de l'autocar — at 44, rue de la Bienfaisance, Paris 8, will provide full details and entry particulars.
A month earlier, from March 15 to 23, more mundane city bus developments will be featured prominently at the fourth West German public transport exhibition. The "Road and Rail '75" event at Essen is to be combined with a special section devoted to pollution-free vehicles such as battery-electric and LPG-operated buses.
