the main trunk roads connecting South Humberside with the rest of the country, has been opened by M. and H. Slater (Tanker Haulage) Ltd, at North Killingholme Haven, Grimsby, South Humberside, DN40 3LX.
Slater previously had its depot at Immingham Dock. The new site has a maintenance and repair shed, containing two pits and brake-testing machinery. Tank-cleaning facilities are being installed so that a tank unit can be cleaned in 15 minutes.
Slater operates a 24hr breakdown service with a vehicle specially fitted for tanker recoveries.
