The role of the sideloader in the field -of container handling is discussed in a I 2-page brochure published by Lancer Boss Ltd.
Entitled Lancer Boss—The Complete Container Handling System, the brochure describes the developments in the container field leading to the introduction of the ISO container and then discusses the requirements E handling system should provide to perform its task economically and efficiently.
The Lancer toplift attachment is described in detail and the brochure also 'demonstrates by line-drawings the block and ribbon stacking systems for containers. Other information includes details of sideloader application in inland rail terminals, for quayside stacking, roll-on /roll-off ferries and piggy backing where the machine is used for handling semi-trailers on and off railway wagons.
