Three new items have been added to the range of highperformance industrial adhesives produced by Roberts Smoothedge—Anchor-Weld 2618 Nitrile Adhesive, Anchor-Weld 2617 (Easy Spread) Contact Cement and Anchor-Weld 3607 White Glue.

Anchor-Weld 2618 has excellent adhesion to plasticized P.V.C., rubber and metal. Typical uses are in bonding fabricsupported P.V.C., to aluminium. P.V.C. edging strip to furniture and panelling, rubber sheet to steel or aluminium and rubber tyres to metal wheels. Application is by spray (using RobertsBechtold Cold Spray Unit) or by brush.

Anchor-Weld 2617 is a contact cement with outstanding spread characteristics. Uses include the bonding of decorative plastic

laminates and similar materials to chipboard. plywood, blackboard, etc. Application is by hand roller or spreader and coverage is up to 300 sc. ft. per gallon. Open time is from 10 minutes to six hours and storage life 12 months.

Anchor-Weld 3607 is a new P.V.A. based adhesive to B.S. 4071 for general assembly work, framing up. bonding hardboard or plywood skins to frames. etc. It is said to possess a number of advantages over older formulations including high bond strength; fast curing (10min at 65 deg F); excellent end grain adhesion; exceptionally high tack and good performance with R,IF heating. Coverage is between 270 and 370 sq. ft. per gallon and storage life nine months.
