• The RTITB has published its first booklet on "Training recommendations for apprentice motor vehicle mechanics". Dealing with recruitment, selection and training it points out that it is a condition of grant payment that all apprentices be afforded release facilities to follow a course of further education.
Over half of the booklet consists of appen• dices—including a specimen interview form and typical job specification.
