Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

W HEN' a 15-16-ton cruiser was carried from DagenVY ham to Olympia, London, last week, by Dallas (Kingston), Ltd., a specially constructed cradle had to be employed so that the overall height of the load —believed to be the biggest boat ever taken in to the building for the National Boat Show—did not exceed 18 ft. 3 in. The gateway into Olympia is 18 ft. 6 in. high.

The vessel was 48 ft. 6 in. long, 13 ft. 6 in. in the beam and had a steel hull. It was built in Holland as a prototype by the Clifford Marine Construction • Co., and was shipped to -Dagenham as mounted on its cradle. Dagenham was selected as the point of entry because of the adequacy of eranage there.

An A.E.C.-Eagle low-loading articulated outfit of Dallas left the dock at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening and the load entered Olympia by 11 p.m.. Day-time shifting of the outfit was prohibited by the police.

A tower wagon was provided by the London Transport Executive to lift trolleybus wires which might otherwise have been fouled. The vessel was jacked off the semi-trailer.

The Show opens on closes on January II.

NEW GARAGE FOR 65 BUSES

ANEW garage, capable of housing 65 buses has been opened at South Wigston, near Leicester, by the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Co., Ltd. It is designed to ease pressure on the company's depots at Southgate Street and Sandiacre Street, Leicester, and already 20 buses from each of these garages have been moved to South Wigston,

The floor of the new building was con structed on the soil-stabilization principle, and the garaging area is completely free from obstructions. A spacious dock has been provided, together with Dawson washing apparatus, controlled by a "magic eye."

South Wigston is about four miles from the centre of Leicester, and buses garaged there will mainly serve an area to the south-east of the city.
