Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

(-LAMING that British Railways pro

vided inadequate storage facilities for the distribution of feeding stuffs and fertilizers in Anglesey, H. Williams and Sons, Holyhead, last week applied for an additional vehicle on their B licence. They also asked Mr. J. R. Lindsay, North Western Deputy Licensing Authority, to add cattle food and fertilizers from Liverpool to Anglesey for Dobells, Ltd., to the conditions.

For the applicants, Mr. Pritchard Jones said Williams were granted a shortterm B licence last June to distribute Dobells' products in Anglesey because the only railway storage facilities were at Llangefni, which was not suitable for customers in the Holyhead area.

Mr. G. P. Crowe, for British Railways, pointed out that Llangefni was central for • the whole of Anglesey, and their vehicles could deliver from the railhead within 24 hours of arrival from Liverpool. Road deliveries to all parts of the island could be undertaken by special arrangement.

Refusing the application, Mr. Lindsay said he was not satisfied that existing facilities were inadequate.

MOBILE OFFICES FOR HIRE.

ANUMBER of seven-seat Volkswagen Microbuses have been turned into mobile offices by .I. Davy Car Hire, Ltd., London. A folding table-desk is built in behind the driving compartment, with two seats on each side. The tablecan also be turned into a double bed, and a cooker is provided.

Mr. Davy hopes to find a hire market in the business world, so typewriters, stationery and telephones are provided. He believes surveyors, building contractors and engineers will be among -the people making use of the vehicles.
