THE accoMpanying schedule, to which reference was made in last week's issue, shows minimum rates which have been agreed upon for the haulage of stone and ballast from various quarries in Devon to Yelverton. These rates have heen approved by the consignee, after consultation with the quarry owners and hauliers.
The following conditions cover the application of these rates. They are subject to loading being by chute or by mechanical excavator, or that there be reasonable assistance given if loading be by hand. Whem a non-tipping vehicle is used, assistance is to be given for unloading without delay. Accounts aro to be rendered on -the Monday morning of each week for work carried out up to and including the previous Saturday; payment will be made on the following Wednesday. The rates are strictly net.
