Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• 3M has "introduced the first-ever true neoprene contact adhesive in an aerosol container." Spray 80 aerosol adhesive has the performance associated with bulk-brushable and power-sprayable contact cements, with the added benefits of convenience, speedy application rates, faster drying time and, freedom from the stringing often associated with application by brush or spread er.

Spray 80, says 3M, is particularly suitable for applications such as bonding sounddeadening and fibrous underbonnet damping pads, roof linings, vinyl fabric and neoprene seals.

The aerosol adhesive resists plasticising oils and has high temperature resistance — in excess of 90°C. 3M also claims that the product, which has a drying time of just four minutes (although bonds can still be made 30 mins after spraying) gives a stronger bond than any comparable adhesive. The can's spray head is designed to be clog-free and to produce a controlled lace spray pattern with a sharp cut-off to allow spraying right to the edge of the work piece.
