• Although this is a rather unusual request, I have decided after trying numerous other channels to put pen to paper. I hasten to add that being involved full-time with transport, I am also a regular reader of your magazine.
I need a hose-reel pump PTO. Yes, I'm the proud owner of a preserved 1954 Morris Commercial fire tender which is disabled without the pump and PTO to drive it. The original PTO and pump were manufactured by a firm in Aldershot called PPP Ltd. In 1974 the machine was taken out of service and the pump and PTO removed.
Despite all my efforts I've only managed to acquire a pump. If any readers are in a position to help in any way it would be greatly appreciated. At this point I must admit that I'm not rolling in money. PJ Porter Fire Service Preservation Group HaNeld, Herts
