Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MODULAR CPC

• At the begining of October The Royal Society of Arts (RSA) is launching a modular scheme for its national Transport Management CPC exams.

The new system will allow the transfer of qualifications between the freight and passenger sectors of the road transport industry. In future holders of a national CPC wishing to operate in another sector will not be required to re-sit the whole exam, but can just take the module for the sector in which they are interested.

Examination papers will be provided as follows: Module A, National (Core); module B, National (Freight); module C, National (Passenger); module D, International (Freight) and module E, International (Passenger).

For the national exam a pass-mark of 75% will be required for each module. If a candidate fails to achieve a full certificate but passes a particular module a 'statement of credit' will be awarded. Candidates need not resit these modules but can exchange the statement of credit for a full certificate on the successful completion of the remaining modules. The international examinations remain unchanged.

Further information on the changes is available from the Road Transport Industry Training Board (01-902 8880), which can provide training courses and CPC home-study packs.
