• Dennison of Naas, Co dare, Ireland, has developed a positively-steered bulk-tank semi-trailer for milk collection where extra manoeuvrability is needed in narrow lanes and at entrances to farms.
The positively-steered trailer axles, linked to the fifth wheel plate by a series of rods and turntables, allow the trailer to follow closely in the path of the tractive unit.
The system is produced by Kramer of West Germany and can be coupled to any fifth wheel. It adds just over 400kg to the unladen weight of the trailer and costs about 23,000.
