• Shropshire dairy T H Goodwin & Sons has signed a 15-vehicle, eight-year contract hire agreement with Wincanton Vehicle Rentals.
WVR has bought all 15 of Goodwin's diesel vehicles (the company's milk floats are not affected by the agreement), and will supply Goodwin with 15 bulk milk tankers and curtainsiders, including two new Volvo FL6 tankers.
The six-figure contract hire deal lasts for eight years to allow for the long life of the company's capital equipment, such as milk tanks.
Maintenance of the fleet will be handled at WVR's local workshops and, on behalf of WVR, at Goodwin's own workshops. Goodwin collects 210,000 litres of milk a day from 180 farms and delivers within a 50km radius.
