• Currys, the high street electrical retailer, has renewed its 22 million UK distribution contract with NFC company National Carriers Contract Services.
NCCS will use 32 tractive units and 80 semi-trailers to handle the five-year contract, which involves the carriage of around 10,000 loads a year from Curry's two main warehouses at Newark and Winchester.
According to NCCS general manager Jim Verdin, over the past five years NCCS has had a 99.9% success rate in meeting the required delivery day, for Currys, regardless of the size of loads.
