Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

from Volvo, which will also be unveiling a 6 x 4 model at the Show. Based on the existing 6 x 2 F86, the new six-wheeler will be built at the Ailsa Truck plant at Irvine in Scotland.

The major components are existing F86 parts with the exception of the bogie which is borrowed from the NIO model — a similar arrangement to the Volvo eight-wheeler. The bogie spread, however, has been shortened to 1.37m (4ft 6in) from 1.51m (4ft 11%in) and the design weight has been restricted to 18.8 tonnes (18.5 tons) by using lighter and shorter springs.

Since problems occurred with the rubbing pads on the eight-wheeler bogie, Ailsa has changed the design for the 6 x 4 to an arrangement which will eventually carry over to the 8 x 4 chassis.

These slipper pads have been replaced by rubber bushes inside of which is a steel tie. This component works most of its life in compression with the steel wire tie being present to take the strain in tension on full rebound or articulation. In contrast to the Scania choice of three wheelbases available at 3.6, 4.2 and 4.E (lift 9in, 13ft 9in and 15ft 9i — again quoted as inner a) spread. Although the trar mission spec lists the eigl speed box as the standard us the Allison MT650 automa box is available on option.

The kerb weight of the 3.( model is 6.72 tonnes (6 to 12cwt) and the list price E16,500.
