The new service will operate three times a month from the company's headquarters in Bradford and its depots at Glasgow, and Manchester. The goods will then be shipped on Manchester Lines vessels to Limassol.
Only 18 months ago the company started its Malta service and the Limassol service will be using the same vessels and calling at Malta en route.
Customs clearance at Limassol is speeded up by a telex giving pre-advice of the consignments, and the air-mailing of the necessary papers. The company says that once cleared the goods can be delivered in 24 hours.
