nETAILS of a new range of 30 ft. bus
and coach chassis based on the 36 ft. Leopard chassis have been announced by Leyland Motors Ltd. All four models have a wheelbase of 16 ft. 2 in. (4-928 m.) and are available with rightor left-hand steering. When fitted with standard springs they are suitable for a gross weight rating of 11.1 tons (11,430 kg.); air suspension is an option, however.
Two of the models are buses designated PSU4.1R and L and PSU4.2R and L, whilst the remaining versions are coaches designated PSU4.3R and L. and PSU4.4R and L. All four are powered by the 9.8-litre Leyland 0.600 horizontal diesel _engine, that for the bus developing 125 b.h.p. at 1,700 r.p.m. and the coach engine 130 b.h.p. at 2,200 r.p.m.
