THE Yorkshire Licensing Authority is to be asked by Mr. C. G. Littlewood, of Sheffield, to permit him an extension of his express service to Torquay for the benefit of old and disabled persons and their helpers.
Mr. Littlewood wishes to provide the service for people taking advantage of hotel concessions to the old and disabled, and already has 300 provisional bookings for the middle of September and the first fortnight in October.
He also wants to make 24 vehicle journeys for this class of passenger in May next year.
A fare of £2 10s., against the £2 18s. 3d. imposed by the Authority when he was granted permission to operate a summer service earlier this year. is proposed.
