• The Vehicle Builders and Repairers Association (VBRA) is to set up a Supplier Members' Council. The new council is intended to help bodyshops and their suppliers work more closely in partnership, particularly in the light of changing European law.

• The RAC has launched an Accident Service which aims to help members with all post-accident matters. Help includes offering courtesy cars, overseeing of repairs, processing of insurance claims and a two-year postrepair guarantee.

Service extensions

• Ryder has formed a new division, Ryder Contract Services, specialising in the negotiation of cost.effective servicing in workshops nationwide. Contract hire customers who do not have easy access to Ryder maintenance locations can now have their vehicles serviced at approved independent workshops.

Morning star

• Red Star has launched a service providing morning delivery for parcels received at Euston parcel point as late as 03:00hrs. The After Midnight' service guarantees delivery that morning across a region including Oxford, Northampton, Lyme Regis, Reading and Skegness.
