Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Charlesworth Transport Engineering of Newark is expected to announce tomorrow (Friday 28 April) that it has been taken over, following a series of financial difficulties.

The company was founded about 12 months ago by former Neville Charrold managing director Phil Charlesworth. At the beginning of this year, it linked up with Telehoist as part of an agreement to build the latter's smooth-sided Telloy aluminium tipping bodies.

Charlesworth trades as Alubuilt, but all of its Telehoist bodies were branded Telloy. Charlesworth Transport Engineering also became a distributor for Telehoist hydraulic products in the north of England, and for Telelube in Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

Telehoist confirmed earlier this week that it would not be taking over Charlesworth Transport Engineering despite the link-up. Charlesworth was visited by the liquidators last Friday (21 April), but then said it was discussing a takeover.
