• For the first time a range of British-built Ford D Series trucks is to be available on the Italian market. Apart from the Transit range Ford trucks have not been marketed in Italy since the discontinuation of the Thames Traders in 1964.
The range of D Series will include seven models, all specifically tailored to the Italian market, and will cover the 6 to 11 tons gvw category. Additional and heavier models will be available later. All the vehicles will be shipped from the UK in chassis-cab form for the fitment of locally designed and built bodywork.
