JT TARMAC CAN now base 12 vehicles at a unit on the Newington Industrial Estate, London Road, in Sittingbourne, subject to undertakings: • directors must attend a one-day operator awareness course. Written details of the course must be sent to the office of the traffic area within 10 days of completion; • all drivers will undertake Driver CPC training; • directors, the office manager and drivers will have annual refresher training — the first to be completed by 1 October 2014;
• maintenance systems, maintenance documentation and vehicle inspections will be audited by the Road Haulage Association/ Freight Transport Association or equivalent independent third party by 8 January 2014, then by 8 January 2015 and 8 January 2016. Following this, the process will be reviewed. A copy of the reports must be forwarded to the office of the traffic commissioner within 14 days of receipt, together with the operator's proposals for implementing their recommendations.
