Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

lower price?

II Just because a used tractor has less than 360hp on tap, doesn't mean it's unsaleable says Mike Gray, commercial sales director at Fleet Auction Group.

"A lot of people want units like that so that they can turn them into plant carriers, skip wagons, and so on," he says. "We know that many of the tractors

falling into that category that we sell are destined to be converted."

Vehicles with special bodywork can certainly command premium prices. At a recent FAG sale a Y-reg Volvo FM7 front-end-loader eightwheeler made a whopping 179,000. "I thought it would fetch £65,000 to 170,000," says Gray.

At the other end of the price and size scale, a gaggle of 1999 Renault Kangoo vans entered by The leasing Group, and in British Gas livery, made £3,100-£3,500, depending an condition and mileage.

They were all fitted with offside sliding load area doors rather than nearside doors, but this apparently made no difference to their desirability, or value.
