has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Link (Rail) Ltd. Link is a consortium of eight companies owning 14 rail depots throughout the country and offering a nationwide distribution service, using rail for the long distance haulage.
Promoted to general manager of the National Fleet for Mercedes-Benz UK is John Speeks. His previous position was senior manager, and in his new role he will be dealing with international Sales, Alan Grig, also of MercedesBenz UK, has gone from departmental manager to senior manager and he will now be in charge of cv and cars.
Former general manager of Volvo at Ailsa Trucks, Peter Segebarth, has joined Seddon Atkinson as distributor development manager. During his career in the commercial vehicle trade he has been involved in marketing operations with a number of major manufacturers. He also has first-hand experience of distributor development, having held general managership with three distributor outlets.
