FRONTIER frustrations caused by time differences between European countries may be eased by new European Community rules on summertime arrangements.
The inconvenience caused to transport operators was one of the problems discussed by EuroMPs.
The Commission has suggested "uniform summertime arrangements" for all ten countries in the EEC for the years 1983 to 2000. Parliament has approved the idea in general, but thought that summertime should end earlier.
One of the main problems encountered Efi? lorry drivers is that Customs houses on opposite ,sides of a border are operating different opening hours.
