A NEW company is to be forme( I-1 immediately by Duple Motor Bodies Ltd., to provide spares and service facifi tics for northern operators. It will prob ably be set up in the Manchester area and will bear the title Duple Moto; Bodies (Northern), Ltd.

Among the directors will be Mr. E. S Walker, who was formerly a Duple repre sentative in the north and has nov rejoined the group. As soon as suitabli .premises have been found a sales an service organization will be set up.

"STILL TOO MANY ACCIDENTS'

I NDUSTRIAL accidents involving

transport totalled 11,663 last year, say; the annual report of the Chief Inspectm of Factories. This figure is smaller that in 1955 and 1956, but still larger than ir earlier years.

Transport accidents were not concen trated on any particular part of the body but about 20 per cent. of them involvec feet. In the handling of goods, abou one-third of the accidents were to thc trunk, most of them being strains.

In all reported industrial accidents, thc figures showed a decrease of 5 per cent over 1956.
