I NTRODUCING the new commercial vehicles and private cars of the Rootes Group, in London, on Tuesday, Sir William Rootes, chairman of the Group, said: "We are earning not only dollars, but currencies from every part of the globe. Indeed, we can quietly boast that in the commercial-vehicle field we believe we have exported a greater proportion of our output than any other United Kingdom manufacturer."
He hoped that the Government would soon solve the iron and steel problem. It was wrong that the steel industry should proceed from crisis to crisis. Moreover, it was unfortunate that that industry had now again raised its prices at a time when commercialvehicle manufacturers, as exporters, had to reduce their prices.
