ANEW model that can be seen in the demonstration park, but not in the Show building at Earls Court, is the Atkinson LPM.744H underfloor-engined light-type bus with Gardner engine. Outriggers have been obviated by employing a wide frame which is similar in overall dimensions to the larger-engined models. The section, however, has been reduced in thickness by 1/16 in. to 5/16 in., with a flange width of 21
The mOunting position of the crossmembers is made to coincide with the spring anchorage points, an arrangement which reduces the number of holes which have to be drilled in the side members.
A new five-spccd gearbox with constant-mesh dog-engaged gears is fitted, and a Clayton Dewandre triple-servo braking system is employed.

other Austin models; Bedford Sportsman with Duple 20-seat body, and a Bedford 37-seat coach with Plaxton coachwork; six Commer models including a 4 x-4 .3-tonner; two Daimler Freeline ,models and a double-deck bus; Foden 41-seat Continental touring coach with body by Associated Coachbuilders,' Ltd., and a Foden rear-engined 41-seat coach with Whitson body; Guy Arab with Alexander body and two Guy Otter goods vehicles; ICarrier 14-seat coach with Reading bodywork; Leyland Tiger Cub; Scammell Scarab 3-tonner and 6-tonner, and a Bedford-Scammell 10-ton tractor and trailer; Sentinel 44seat bus, and a Sentinel 37-seat coach with Plaxton body; Thornycroft Sturdy Star with platform body and a Trident with sided • body; Bedford Seagull coach with Burlingham body; A.E.C. Regal Mark IV 41-scat coach with Plaxton bodywork; two Bedford ambulances with bodies by Levers Garages, Ltd.; Austin 2-ton van with Marshall body.
