It takes allsorts to make up a coach load, and happy is the proprietor who can arrange the tour to satisfy all tastes. WhenJeoaching a short time ago we stopped for luncheon at a well-known hostelry on the Portsmouth Road. While sipping his vermouth the monocled passenger gazed round the old 'barparlour, admiring the oak beams and the shining array of brass and pewter. 'I like these good old inns," he murmured„ half to himself. " Eh! What?" said his neighbour. " I say I like these good old inns," repeated the monocled one. The other drank noisily from his foaming tankard and wiped his mouth on his coat sleeve. " Well," he remarked, " if yer arsks me, I say I prefers this good ole beer."
