New qualifications

• A new range of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) and Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) are now available for the motor industry: L Vehicle Valeting : Level 1. L Vehicle Maintenance Service Replacements: Levels 1 and 2.

L Vehicle Parts, Distribution and Supply: Levels 1,2 and 3.

Vehicle Selling: Levels 2 and 3.

Grandfather rights

• Instructors on the Independent Training Standards Scheme & Register (ITSSAR) can have permanent additions made to existing identity cards.

Items of plant can be included, provided instructors have an approved operating certificate and evidence of safety course attendance. Non-ITSSAR instructors can also register, but for two years only.
