• Professional drivers have a better understanding of fuel measurement metrication than other road users, says a recent survey.
After metrication day, on 1 October, a survey conducted by PHH Vehicle Management Services concluded that 85% of drivers could not convert gallons into litres.
But PHH says: "Van and truck drivers, especially owner-drivers, do seem to have a grasp on the changes. Fuel prices are naturally of more concern to them."
